Pumpkin King ... Mark III / In Pumpkin

I sure do love some Jack Skellington!  I'd been thinking about doing another Jack hat, considering it's almost Halloween.  This seemed like the perfect time. :)  This Jack hat was worked up to fit children/teen/young adult with head circ. of 20 1/2 inches.

As Jack usually does, he had a menacing look on his face.  This one is complete and has ear flaps with black tassels. :)  You can find him on my ETSY shop for $22 + shipping.

Here's another angle of Jack with his long tassel like arms. ;)

Peacock Cape and headband

Peacock Cape and headband.  Headband is 11 inches circ. but can be stretched (it is yarn afterall).  The crown is 3 peacock feathers with some Lion Brand Fun Fur in Deep Sea and the rest is made with Caron Simply Soft Oceana.  I love the stuff.  All I have left is one piece of yarn the length of the doll I used. :p  I've wanted to do something peacock related and just learned how to crocodile stitch yesterday so this was born. :D

Baby Dimitri and Puppy Lovey

May 1st brought news that our newest nephew had been born.  Baby Dimitri weighed in at over nine pounds!  I wanted to make him something special and I'd wanted to try my hand at making a Lovey but I just wasn't sure what to do, so I sat down and started to crochet.  I'm not much for freestyle crochet because I feel I need a general pattern to follow but this just flowed.  I still wanted to make more so I made him a matching hat.  Yarns used were Vanna's Choice Barley and Grey Marble as well as I Love This Yarn (yes I really do) in Dark Country Blue and Grey Mist.

I've been doing small random projects recently and it wasn't until my wonderful hubby mentioned that I should make a chicken hat that I even thought about headbands again.  I did the puffy pinwheel one but I had not thought about doing another.  I created a small chicken headband and had Lil Bit try it on for me.  I hid most of his face as he HATES trying on the hats for pics.  (If you don't remember the infamous Leia pictures, keep scrolling)

Now I've created a pattern on @Home Ninja for the Chicken Dance Headband and a more docile, patriotic headband.  Here's a preview  :D
